Family Service of Winnetka-Northfield was founded in 1893. What began as a project for distributing food and clothing to needy families has evolved into an agency whose staff facilitate personal growth, help alleviate emotional pain and assist individuals and families in managing the challenges of modern life.

Board of Directors

The role of the Board of Directors is to oversee and support the work of Family Service of Winnetka-Northfield and the Winnetka Thrift Shop. Each board member is an ambassador for the organization. As such, board members enthusiastically promote the agency and the thrift shop through sharing their time, talent and financial resources.

Membership on the board is for a three year term. The agency by-laws limit board membership to two terms. Inquires into board membership are welcomed. For information, call Family Service at 847-446-8060.
